For men rebuilding the second half of life

In 30 minutes, find out the source of what's broken and what to change in your life. And get a 90-day plan to act on it.

I'm not a coach, a counselor, or a pastor. I'm a 65-year-old who rebuilt his life after losing it.

You came here for a reason. Maybe your marriage is over. Maybe it's your body, or the career that stopped meaning anything around year fifteen. You know which one. The assessment asks the questions out loud. Then it hands you a 90-day plan and ongoing check-ins that remember what you committed to.

I built two companies and sold them both. My marriage ended a year after the second sale. At 59 I sat in a furnished duplex with the same lie I'd believed as a teenager: nobody will ever want me.

My rebuild took five years, and this tool is the interview I wish someone had handed me on that couch.

§ 01 · The drift

You're coasting and you don't know it.

The body softens one missed workout at a time. The career stops meaning something, or runs you out of time. The marriage thins over a decade of nights on different couches. Faith, if you had it, gets quiet. Identity narrows to whatever role still pays.

You can live like that for years. Some men ride it out to the end.

But somewhere in your gut you know the math. You've got a finite number of years left, and you're not spending them like a man who knows it.

§ 02 · The mechanism

Three steps.

01

Take the assessment.

An AI interview, not a quiz. Between 9 and 30 minutes. You walk through the domains you choose: body, money, marriage, faith, identity, what comes next. The AI presses on the answers that don't quite hold up. Sharpness in equals sharpness out.

02

Get your profile and 90-day plan.

Generated automatically when the assessment ends. The profile names who you are right now and the pattern beneath the patterns. The plan gives you 90 days of action with milestones at 30, 60, and 90 days.

03

Check in.

Short conversations about how the plan's going. The AI knows what you said last time. It tracks themes across check-ins and pushes back when warranted. When real life shifts under you, you can rework the plan to fit the new reality. Job change, health event, marriage falling apart or coming back together: the plan adjusts to the life you're living now.

Why this isn't ChatGPT.

Open ChatGPT and it's a blank page. You bring the questions. You bring the framework. The Second Half Assessment hands you both. It's a structured interview built off over 20 published essays, a fitness book in progress, and a 65-year-old's framework for rebuilding the second half of life. It knows what to ask before you sit down. It knows where men in your shoes flinch.

And it remembers. Show up to a check-in three months from now, the AI already knows what you committed to, what you said last time, and which patterns keep showing up.

§ 03 · What you get

A read, a plan, and a tool that keeps showing up.

  • An AI that pushes back when your answer is too clean, then asks the next question.
  • Check-ins that remember what you committed to and whether you followed through.
  • Built off over 20 published essays, a fitness book in progress, and a 65-year-old's actual rebuild.
  • A 90-day plan built off the work, the marriage, the body you have.
  • Plan reworks when life shifts. Job change, health event, marriage cracking open or coming back.
  • Vic Holtreman is not your coach. He's the guy who built the tool he wishes he'd had at 59.
  • Founding Member: $99 one-time. First 25 men. Public price is $199.
  • Brutally honest. Doesn't pull punches. Built for the man who'd rather hear the truth than be comforted.
§ 04 · The author

The man who built this.

Vic Holtreman 65 · Nashville

Vic Holtreman is 65 and lives in Nashville. He spent his career building two digital media companies, Screen Rant and Game Rant. He sold both. The second sale, in 2019, took away his day-to-day work. Less than a year later, his marriage ended.

He moved out at 59, into a furnished duplex, and sat on the couch with the same thought he'd had as a teenager: nobody will ever want me. He'd built and sold two companies. He still believed the lie.

Most of what came next looked like the standard rebuild: the body, the money, the friend group, the geography. The work that moved him was harder to see. He had to stop agreeing with the people who'd hurt him. He had to stop carrying himself like the man he used to be. Faith stopped being background noise and became an anchor.

In 2023 he met the woman he later married. A year in, he started writing The Redeemed Second Half, a weekly piece for men in the same kind of season he'd been in. More than 1,100 men subscribe.

The Second Half Assessment is what he wishes had existed when he was on that couch.

§ 05 · The audience

Built for the man who'd rather hear the truth than be comforted by lies.

The men who sit down with this assessment are typically in the second half of life: late 50s, 60s, looking at the runway and trying to figure out what to do with the years they've got left. That's who it was built for first.

It also lands for younger men who hit a hard transition early. The career that blew up or stopped meaning anything. A marriage that cracked open or quietly emptied out. The faith you grew up with that stopped fitting. A health event that changed how you think about time. The version of you that worked for thirty years stopped working.

If you're sitting in one of those moments and you're ready to look at it straight, this was built for you.

Who this isn't for.

If you're in active crisis (thinking about ending your life, in immediate danger, or watching someone you love come apart) this isn't the right tool right now. Get to a real person. The Crisis Safety page has phone numbers and what to do next.

If you came here looking for someone to tell you you're doing fine, you came to the wrong place. The assessment surfaces what isn't working. It won't flatter you. Plenty of tools will. This isn't one of them.

§ 06 · The output

A profile, a plan, and a way to keep showing up.

When the assessment ends, the AI builds two things automatically:

A profile. Names who you are right now and the pattern beneath the patterns. Not a personality test. A read on what's running underneath across the domains you walked through.
A 90-day plan. Concrete action with milestones at 30, 60, and 90 days. Built off your specific situation: your work, your marriage, your faith, whatever else you brought. Not a generic playbook.

You can access them online or download either as a PDF.

Six months in, you'll have a clearer read on yourself and a plan that's evolved with you.

§ 07 · The voices

— Chris A.
"This thing is brutally honest and doesn't pull punches. In a good way. I think it was really insightful and could be incredibly helpful if I stick to its action plan."
— Aaron W.
"This assessment hit one of my core truths - that trust in my own judgement is a growth space for me. Great exercise to go through for any man chasing excellence and looking to stay in the game in the second half."

§ 08 · FAQ

Real questions before you start.

What happens after I finish the assessment?
You'll receive a written profile, a read on the patterns underneath your answers, and a 90-day action plan with specific next steps. The goal isn't encouragement. It's clarity and action.
How long does the assessment take?
Anywhere from 9 to 30 minutes, depending on how many domains you take on. You can pause and come back. The more detailed your answers, the sharper the read.
Do I have to answer every domain?
No. Identity is required. The other domains are optional. You can go deeper where the pressure is highest and skip areas that don't apply right now.
What about privacy?
Your answers and the profile generated from them are stored encrypted. Only you can access your data through the app. Vic, as operator, can review transcripts to keep the tool sharp. That's a deliberate trade-off you consent to at signup. Your data is never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to train AI models. Full details on the Privacy page.
What if I want a refund?
The initial purchase has a 7-day refund window. If you decide within 7 days that the assessment isn't right for you, email support@theredeemedsecondhalf.com and we'll refund what you paid. Full details on the Refund Policy page.
